update Jan 2008, wedding schedule...

Arrival,
All guests will be able to check-in to their pre-boked rooms from 10am. The bar will be open from 12pm coinciding with Peter's arrival! Feel free to wander over to the bar and have a drink or a chat with him before the ceremony. The bar will close at 1.30pm in order for Peter to prepare for the ceremony and allow guests to take their seats.
Ushers,
Steve Bell & Jonathan Bartram will be there to help anyone who may need assistance on the day itself, they may look like scarey individuals but are trained in the latest crowd pacification techniques and will have an answer for almost any question you need to throw at them. Please don't give them any money, you will never get it back!

The ceremony,
The wedding ceremony starts at 2pm, please arrive by 1.30pm, you will not be able to attend the ceremony if you arrive late! We will have a civil ceremony including readings and music which should last about 20 minutes. Guests will then proceed to one of the drawing rooms for a reception drink.

The Wedding breakfast,
Guests will be seated by 4pm for the wedding breakfast and speeches. There will be a three course set meal provided. Please could you email us with any dietary needs e.g vegetarians and allergies, so we can inform the caterers. We anticipate the wedding breakfast to finish at 6.30pm when guests will be directed to the Orange room for the cutting of the cake at 6.45pm

Evening reception,
We have asked for those coming only to the evening reception to arrive or return to the venure on or after 7pm. You are welcome to relax and join in the celebrations. All the formality of the day will be over and this is when the party starts! So let your hair down and join in the fun to help us celebrate our day in style! There will be a light buffet provided, a live band for entertainment and the bar will be open until 1am! Sorted!

your invitation...

Please understand that we have strict restriction on numbers for the ceremony and reception.  For this reason we ask that unless partners, children ... or animals? are included on the invitation we will not be able to accommodate them.

For those of you coming to the evening reception, you are welcome to bring your children, but there will not be facilities for children if you have not reserved a room in the venue. Please let us know who is coming from your clans when you reply to the invitaiton.

update Jan 2008, our wedding list...

Most of you will know that we live in a small rented flat in London and we don’t have much space!  If you would like to give us a wedding gift, we would welcome contributions towards a deposit for a home of our own.

Please do not feel you have to find extravagant amounts, the equivalent to a normal wedding gift would be more than adequate! Here's some ideas if you want to get creative:

10 x Concrete Breeze Blocks - £15
10m x Plaster-board = £20
100 x Red Bricks - £30
1 x Timber Window frame- £50
50 x Roof Slates - £60
1 x Wooden Front Door - £120

We have decided to purchase Premium Bonds with our Wedding Gifts. It would be most helpful and more secure, to write a cheque to: 'Mr & Mrs P Spencer' and put it in a card which will be placed on the gift table at the venue.
